I love being a social worker. I have a master’s degree from New York University and twenty-five years of experience in the helping profession. I enjoyed a varied career; helping people obtain basic needs like food and shelter, helping people recover from addictions, and helping people heal from stressful experiences.
I believe in the wisdom of Carl Rogers who said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I change.” ~~Carl Rogers. I help individuals and families to develop this compassion that helps transition life’s challenges into opportunities.
I am trained in trauma informed care, mindfulness based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapies. I aspire, always, to learn and to be a proficient guide to all that seek my assistance.
